How often do you get the chance to talk about movies with an Academy Award-winning filmmaker? Well, here at the Burns we provide that opportunity monthly as part of our series “Jonathan Demme’s Rarely Seen Cinema.” Jonathan Demme curates and hosts this series of fantastic films that he feels have flown under the radar but deserve to be seen. Demme kicked off the latest installment of his series this past Sunday, October 21, with Jeff, Who Lives at Home and special guest Jason Segel! The next film in the series is Seven Days in May, an Oscar-nominated Cold War thriller starring Burt Lancaster, Fredric March, Kirk Douglas, and Ava Gardner. Hear what JBFC Programming Director Brian Ackerman has to say about Seven Days in May and “Jonathan Demme’s Rarely Seen Cinema.” Seven Days in May is screening for one day only on Sunday, November 4th, so get your tickets today!
