The light-hearted holiday hit of 2003, Elf, is guaranteed to make you and your family smile, no matter how many years watching it in the winter has been a family tradition. Adopted and raised amongst the elves in the North Pole, the main protagonist, Buddy the Elf, played by Will Ferrell, is a high-spirited soul who just wants to spread Christmas spirit on his journey to find his biological father in New York City. The film has been extremely successful amongst many demographics, from young children to grandparents watching the film with their grandchildren. Will Ferrell’s phenomenal acting successfully exhibited the pure essence of innocence that you would expect from a young child who sees the absolute best in the world. Despite Elf being a Christmas movie, the essence of the story suits all religions and cultures as the story pursues the power of innocent positivity, which many films fail to do. The film portrays what Christmas spirit is. Elf is guaranteed to reignite the essence of Christmas spirit in your family.
